Disconnected
In Disconnected I captured random people in a resting area of a shopping mall. I spent a few days training myself to draw them from a bird’s eye view. It was not until later, that I discovered something unifying the sketches: all my models were occupied with their cellphones and tablets, revealing the contradictory effects of technology and social media.

Keeping My Hands Clean
Keeping My Hands Clean is a triptych focused on a moral conflict between caring for the environment and working with textiles and processes that are often unsustainable. I am interested in the beauty, diversity, rich history and traditions of textiles as well as the negative and disturbing impact that their production has on the environment.
